Opinions are a Dangerous thing: Art StylesThis isn't about narking on anyone no, infact this is just my own muses really! You could say this is a journal for ENCOURAGEMENT! *SHINES*
I find sticking to one style restrictive if you are a beginning/moderate artist! (even professionals I might say! though I can't speak for everyone)
Having a distinctive look on how your art is done and produced is understandable and its a desire to appear unique to the point some one can just SEE your work and instantly think 'Oh! that's Ten-days!' or something along the line. However, when you are trying to find who you are and what kind of art you are to produce, I recommend trying, well, a lot of different things! Different styles, mixing styles, different colouring techinque, brushes, tools, shading. Don't feel dependant on what you are already doing and don't feel pressured by people just for trying new things!
Push out of your comfort zone. Can't draw hands? don't avoid it! draw the heck out of them! (how else are you going to learn?)

about me:
My name is Erin and i am 17 years old. I am made in America _{sorry terrible pun} and i enjoy drawing, reading, cosplaying(still a beginner so i don't have many to post, sorry),tumblr-ing,and procrastinating on homework. I am pretty satisfied with my current style even though it tends to fluctuate in some areas but i am still wanting to try new styles and expand more.
sorry i do not reply "thank you for the fav!" because i feel like it's spamming due to some people faving penty of pictures (don't get me wrong. it makes me happy when i get notified that someone has fav+) but i do thank every single one of you for watching~ it really means a lot that someone likes my work enough to get notified when i upload something

GIVE AWAYwhen i'm done with my load of work i'm thinking of doing a mini give away of chibi's or something but as stickers.
i'm not sure how to host one so once i figure it out i'll start it. <--What do you think? something different?
when i do the give away it'll be done on my tumblr [link] and all you have to do is reblog the post and when it is the due date i will use a random generator to determine the winners!
once the winners have been chosen i will contact you and ask what character you would like drawn and then i will make em into sticks and send them off ;o;
i should be able to start the give away around middle-February depending on free time.

Hi Love, you know me but I guess I can go into more detail. My name is Rachael and I am born and raised in America and have lived in the same little town for the almost 20 years of my life. I am a Sophomore at the local university majoring in Electronic Media and Film production with an emphasis in audio. I enjoy reading fan-fics of all kinds, listening to kpop, watching anime and kdrama, baking and decorating cakes, doing any and all crafts that involve start or origami. I am a hopeless romantic who has yet to find the "one" but I don't really care. I have worked for Baskin Robbins for 4 years, but hope to get a job at Funimation, Viz, or Disney entertainments. I can't really draw but I am learning bit by bit (and kinda backwards by starting with clothes) as well as teaching myself the piano and Korean.
